Who am I?
I am a poet, educator, Romani and PhD candidate at King’s College, London. I love experimenting with language including Angloromani using form in creative ways. My poetry is widely anthologised and in 2021 won the Cosmo Davenport-Hines poetry award. Check out my Publications etc. page to view published work, access readings and view film of interactive work.
Current Projects
- I’m excited to be organising a colloquium for spring next year to coincide with International Romani Day. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Josephine Clements lecturer in Creative Writing (Leverhulme) at Northumberland University. Of course I’ll be sharing details here and footage after the event.
- Do check out the call for papers for the above event included on the blog page.
- I’ve just finished editing my first collection and as of next week will be sending it out into the world on it’s little fledgling wings.
What you’ll find in me blogging about in the future:
- The books that move me, people that move me, places that move me – my poetry journey.
- Being a Romani in academia… there aren’t many of us so this is my way of opening doors for the next in line to push open.
- Events that I’ll be attending that I want to publicise.
